Shoe Chronicles # 4 : The Sparkliest

I had decided a long time ago I definitely wanted a pair of sparkly shoes in my collection. Unfortunately Strass is out of my budget, so I had to 'settle' for glitter. In the height of my shoe obsession (about 2-3 years ago), I saw these and bought them without any contemplation, it was the sparkly shoe I had been waiting for! My Cinderella shoes...

Presenting the Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Glitter York. The Glitter York is a course glitter as opposed to their mini-glitter, and is multi-coloured, making them match with pretty much any coloured evening outfit.

I have only worn them out once so far, as they aren't that comfortable as the glitter coating on the outside makes the leather inside the toe pretty stiff, but I won't get rid of them as they're too pretty. I know I will sacrifice my feet and wear them again though.

Some detailed shots:

Do you have a pair of Cinderella shoes? or a pair that are really uncomfortable to wear but you won't get rid of?

Shoe Chronicles # 3 : The Girliest

My favourite shoe designer without a doubt is Salvatore Ferragamo. I have found they are very underrated, especially considering the price and superior quality when compared to other more high end shoe brands (Louboutin, Jimmy Choo etc...), and they always go on sale which is a bonus!

Burgundy is one of my favourite colours especially in winter, so I was stoked when I found these on sale last year. This style 'ribes' is very flattering and so comfortable, and the signature bow across the toe adds a little something extra. I wear black ones for work all the time as he heel is only 70mm high which is very manageable for all day wear.

Without further delay, here are some pics of the beauties:

If you're in the market for good quality designer shoes that are actually comfortable, I would totally recommend Ferragamos!

Shoe Chronicles # 2 : The Newest

I was meant to post this on Wednesday but we've had a crazy week.

This is part 2 of my shoe collection, and I thought it would be good to show my latest acquisition, the Rag and Bone Newbury boots in black. With winter coming up I wanted a pair of good quality black ankle boots and spent ages researching which ones would suit me best when I came upon the Rag and Bone boots. From what I could tell online, as I had never seen them in person, they appeared to be very classic looking and trans-seasonal which was exactly what I was looking for. P wanted to buy me something nice for my first mothers day, so the timing was great. I purchased these through Net-a-Porter and as usual they arrived in a couple of days in perfect condition.

Birds eye view:

My first attempt at modelling shots (I need to get P used to taking these for me!):

And a close up shot from the side:

I am also wearing a tunic from Country Road and leggings from Ezibuy.
I love these boots so much, I've been thinking about getting the same in a light brown colour for summer. Hopefully they go on sale!

Shoe Chronicles #1 : The favourites

Shoes are one of my great loves. My mum insists that 'shoes' was my first word, and she even kept my first pair of shoes and gave them to me at my wedding during her speech (may sound weird but it was very sentimental). I have amassed a decent sized collection of designer shoes over the past few years ranging from Christian Louboutin to Valentino. I know there any many shoe lovers out there, so every Wednesday I will post a pair from my collection on the blog.

I thought for my first shoe post I would photograph my most prized pair, my Christian Louboutin lace bouquet Pigalles in 100mm. Sadly, I've only worn these a couple of times but I would never get rid of them, they are too beautiful.

They have a nude satin underlay, with a very fine mesh over the top and covered in a black floral lace design.

The signature red sole peeping through from the back:

This shoe also started my love affair with the Pigalle style. I have a couple more which I'm sure will make an appearance on this blog sooner or later.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
