The week that was the 4th of July

I haven't posted for almost 2 weeks now! So much for me trying to blog everyday. It's been a pretty hectic couple of weeks, mostly because we took a trip down to Esperance for a long weekend (well long weekend for P anyway, I don't really have weeks vs. weekends anymore...). P's family is from Esperance, and most of them hadn't met baby S yet, so we thought we'd take her down there to meet the clan.

Esperance is about a one and a half hour flight from Perth, or an 8 hour drive (depending on how fast you go haha). We normally drive, but given we had a baby decided to fly instead. We weren't sure how she would go on the flight, but she slept the whole way there and back. Rather than going on about it now, I'll do a post soon about traveling with a baby. Our time down there was pretty full on as P has a large family and they all wanted to meet the baby, but it was great seeing everyone again. Luckily S resorted back to her usual routine once we got home.

A quick snapshot of the last couple of weeks:

Spent lots of time with these two:

I'm planning to get back into blogging this week. I've got posts about shoes, baby clothes shopping (sales time!), an i-herb haul, and my salted caramel cupcakes recipe in the works, so please keep reading.
